ISTANBUL SABAHATTIN ZAIM UNIVERSITY REGULATION AMENDING THE
REGULATION ON THE EDUCATION, PRACTICE AND RESEARCH CENTER
FOR GIFTED CHILDREN
ARTICLE 1-The following subparagraph has been added to the first paragraph of Article 4 of the Regulation on the Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Education, Practice and Research Center for Gifted Children, published in the Official Gazette dated 26/4/2015 and numbered 29338.
“f) Advisory Board: The Advisory Board of the Center,”
ARTICLE 2-The following subparagraphs have been added to the first paragraph of Article 6 of the same Regulation.
“g) To prepare practice and research projects concerning gifted children, to carry out academic studies, to take part in ongoing work in this field and to support such work.
ğ) To provide support for master's and doctoral theses on the education of gifted children.”
ARTICLE 3-The following subparagraph has been added to the first paragraph of Article 7 of the same Regulation.
“c) The Advisory Board.”
ARTICLE 4-The following article has been added to the same Regulation so as to follow Article 9.
“The Advisory Board and its duties
ARTICLE 9/A- (1) The Advisory Board consists of no more than 11 members, made up of University faculty members who carry out work in line with the Center's fields of activity or who are considered likely to contribute to the Center through their work, together with, upon their request, faculty members from outside the University or representatives of other public institutions and organizations. The members of the Advisory Board are appointed by the Rector for a term of three years. Members whose terms have expired may be reappointed. The Director and the deputy directors are permanent members of the Advisory Board.
(2) The Advisory Board convenes at least once every two months upon the written invitation of the Director, with an absolute majority of the total number of members, and decisions are taken by a majority vote of the members attending the meeting. The decisions taken at the meeting are advisory in nature.
(3) The duties of the Advisory Board are as follows:
a) To evaluate all research, education, work and activity plans and projects prepared by the Center, to put forward proposals of any kind concerning their implementation, development and the enhancement of their impact, and to give opinions on the measures to be taken and the practices to be carried out.
b) To contribute to the creation and development of an environment of cooperation with other organizations in connection with the work of the Center.
c) To give opinions on the evaluation of funding sources outside the University and to submit proposals to this end.”
ARTICLE 5-These Regulations shall enter into force on the date of their publication.
ARTICLE 6-The provisions of these Regulations shall be executed by the Rector of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.
