Message from the Director
Welcome to IZU Graduate School!
Graduate education represents the next stage of higher education after undergraduate studies. It is a process through which students and aspiring academics develop academic skills such as producing original and high-quality knowledge, analytical and critical thinking, and conducting scholarly research and publication, while also cultivating scientific and ethical responsibility.
In this regard, our Graduate School provides a strong academic foundation through its wide range of doctoral, thesis-based master’s, and non-thesis master’s programs in the social sciences and natural sciences, preparing students for all these stages. At the same time, our programs, which combine theoretical depth with practical experience, aim to cultivate qualified human resources who can contribute both to academia and society.
Our diverse range of programs, spanning computer science, education sciences, food engineering, nursing, theology and Islamic studies, sociology, finance and participation banking, history, and literature, also provides our students with an environment that encourages interdisciplinary studies. This diversity offers them the opportunity not only to deepen their expertise in their respective fields but also to engage with different areas of knowledge and conduct more comprehensive and innovative research.
As a Graduate School, our primary goal is to educate researchers who place scientific production at the center, are sensitive to social issues, committed to ethical principles, and capable of contributing to global academic discourse. We pursue this goal through a higher education vision that values bringing the intellectual heritage of our deep-rooted civilization together with contemporary academic methods.
I wish you a productive, rewarding, and inspiring graduate education journey.
Yours sincerely
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Hakan ÇAVUŞOĞLU
Director of the Institute
