Our office is responsible for taking our students' residence files to the Migration Management Office; therefore,
within ONE WEEK of applying, the student must deliver their residence documents in full
to the International Office.
Required Documents:
1) Legal procedures file (pink)
2) Four (4) Biometric Photographs
3) Two (2) COMPLETED Declaration Forms
4) Student Application Form obtained from the official website of the Migration Management Office, together with the fingerprint
record number (as indicated on the second page)
5) Photocopy of the passport or equivalent documents (pages containing personal information)
- Photocopy of the page with the last entry stamp to Turkey (for first-time applicants)
- Photocopy of the previous residence permit (for extension and transfer applications)
6) Student Certificate – in Turkish (obtained via the Campus system)
7) Document showing information about your residential address:
For extension requests: - Residence Address Document obtained from (E-Devlet)
For first-time applications:
- If you are the property owner: a photocopy of the title deed
- If you are a tenant: a notarized copy of the valid rental contract
- If you stay in a dormitory, student house, hotel or similar place: - A document proving that you reside in a student dormitory (if the document has no QR code, a “Signature Circular” document is required) - A document proving that you are staying in a hotel and a receipt showing the accommodation fee
- If residing with a sponsor
- The sponsor's notarized Letter of Undertaking (if the sponsor is married, a notarized undertaking from their spouse as well)
- The sponsor's Residence Address Document obtained from (E-Devlet)
- The most recent bill (electricity/water/gas) issued in the sponsor's name
- If the sponsor is a Turkish citizen, their Detailed Civil Registry Record obtained from (E-Devlet)
8) Valid health insurance:
- General health insurance (taken out within the first three (3) months after the student's entry into the country)
- Or Private Health Insurance covering the residence permit application period. International Students and Relations Coordinatorship
9) Residence Permit Payment Receipt (payment can be made online or at the Tax Office). Don't forget to bring your passport with you when you come to the International Office.
10) UETS addresses of foreigners:
- Passport and foreign identity number
- Phone number
- You can obtain it from PTT branches after entering a valid e-mail address and filling in the UETS application form. Foreigners with an electronic signature will be able to apply for UETS online at https://www.ptt.gov.tr/dijital-posta-e-tebligat.
11) Any other document that may be requested by the Migration Management Office.
To Have Their Fingerprints Taken, Students

- Cevizlibağ Civil Registry Services Center,
- Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Migration Management,
- Esenyurt District Working Group Presidency,
- Kumkapı Coordination Center,
- Pendik District Working Group Presidency,
- Sultanbeyli District Working Group Presidency
You can submit your file to the international office after giving your fingerprints.
Note: Files without fingerprints will be set aside as having missing documents and will be returned so that they can be submitted after fingerprints are taken.
For international students under 18:
- For those who came with a visa exemption or a visa for a different purpose:
- Notarized document containing parent/guardian information (birth certificate, family certificate, etc.)
- A notarized letter of consent to a third party given by the parent/guardian/legal representative and the third party's letter of undertaking.
- For those who came with a student visa:
- The letter of consent and the document containing parent/guardian information will not be required.
The situation is exactly the same for Erasmus students, and no different procedure will be applied to them.
