Faculty of Business and Management Sciences

Welcome to the İZÜ Faculty of Business and Management Sciences!

In the economic development of countries, both the quantity and the quality of knowledge matter. Today's most economically and socially developed societies are called ‘Knowledge Societies’, and the economic approach they adopt is called the ‘Knowledge-Based Economy’. This model is built on four basic elements based on the production, use, dissemination and development of knowledge. Among these elements, the economic and institutional structure that supports prosperity and growth and ensures the effective use of knowledge stands out. An educated population able to produce and use knowledge, and universities able to adapt the global body of knowledge to local needs, play a vital role. A dynamic communication technology infrastructure supporting all of this makes effective communication possible.

As a faculty, we continue our research and teaching activities with our young, dynamic and internationally experienced academic staff in order to contribute to Turkey’s ‘Knowledge Society’ goals. In our scientific work, our most important source of inspiration is the intellectual legacy of the Teacher of Teachers, Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim, who gave our university its name and whose students we are proud to have been.

Our aim is to educate virtuous individuals who produce science and serve humanity. In this process, we aim not only to transfer knowledge to our students but also to educate them as people who think creatively, do research, solve problems and seize opportunities. We offer a multidimensional education model supported by applied courses appealing to different interests, project-based learning processes and industry collaborations. We have full faith in you, our valued students, who are marching towards the future with inspiration drawn from your history and culture.

With my warmest regards,
