PUBLIC LAW - THESIS

About the Program

-It consists of seven courses (3 hours per week), graduate seminar, and thesis study (120 ECTS total). The normal duration of this program is 4 semesters; the maximum duration is 6 semesters.

- Students, who completed course phase, submit a thesis proposal with the thesis form to the Institute, before starting their theses. After their proposals approved by the Institute, they can start their theses.

- Students enrolled in thesis master programs in the Institute of Social Sciences must fulfill the following conditions before their graduation.

The student who is enrolled in a graduate program must fulfill at least one of the following conditions in order to graduate.

  1. Two papers presented at national or international scientific meetings,
  2. An article published in a peer-reviewed/ indexed journal, accepted for publication, or received a DOI number,
  3. Two papers presented at Social / Science symposiums organized by IZU.

Objectives

  1. To give graduates who are fully familiar with the theory and practice of Turkish public law, familiar with international practices, and who have a multidisciplinary perspective.
  2. The mission of our university is to raise expert lawyers who absorb the values of our civilization, produce science, serve humanity, be equipped, shape the future, do not compromise on the mission of raising virtuous and leading people, and who are compromising, entrepreneurial and competent in their subjects. The Master's program is designed to provide graduates who will specialize in various sub-branches of public law with a competence that will contribute to the development of law in their field.

Degree and Level Awarded

When the program is completed successfully and the program qualifications are met, a master's degree in the field of Public Law (with Thesis) is obtained.

Admission Requirements

-To be a graduate of the Faculty of Law,

-Get at least 60 points from ALES (EA-point type),

-The courses of this program are given at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Halkalı campus.

Graduation Requirements

In order for the student to graduate from this program, it is required to take at least 60 ECTS (compulsory / elective) courses from the courses shown in the curriculum in the four semesters of the program, successfully submit their master's thesis and have at least 2.50 weighted grade point average.

Students enrolled in Master's Programs must fulfill at least one of the following conditions before the thesis defense exam in order to graduate.

A paper presented at national or international scientific meetings,
An article published in a refereed / indexed journal, accepted for publication or with a DOI number,
A paper presented at the symposiums organized by IZU in the Social / Science fields.

Employment Opportunities
