Traineeship Mobility

test

The Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility programme enables students enrolled at our university to complete a traineeship at an organisation located in one of the Erasmus+ Programme Countries.

A traineeship allows students to gain hands-on professional experience in the vocational field in which they are studying. Within this scope, students are expected to receive vocational training and/or gain work experience at the host organisation.

Erasmus+ Programme Countries

United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Italy, Iceland, Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Romania, Türkiye*, Greece, Germany, Spain, Latvia, Macedonia, Malta, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Lithuania, Serbia, Slovenia.

The grant amounts provided for each destination country are set out in the calls for applications published by the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordination Office.

Ineligible Activities

  • Traineeship activities may not be carried out for academic study purposes.
  • A traineeship may not be used to carry out work such as research assignments or analytical studies relating to academic work conducted within a specific study programme.
  • Work, scientific research and projects carried out by students in order to complete or support their own scientific studies are not accepted as traineeship activities.
  • Work carried out under the supervision of an advisor by graduate students in the thesis stage, which earns credits but does not fall within the scope of a traineeship, is not considered a traineeship activity.

Minimum and Maximum Durations

The European Commission has set the activity duration for student traineeship mobility as a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 12 months. However, in order to allow more participants at our university to benefit from Erasmus+ traineeship mobility, the grant-funded activity period has been limited to a minimum of 60 days and a maximum of 65 days.

The activity must be carried out without interruption. In traineeship mobility, the traineeship may be interrupted if the host organisation is closed for a holiday period. A grant payment will be made for the period during which the organisation is closed, but this period will not be added to the activity duration. In order to meet the minimum activity duration, the dates on which the host organisation will be closed must be researched in advance, and it must be ensured that the minimum duration is still met once the holiday period has been deducted. Weekend holidays are not counted as a holiday period to be deducted from the activity duration.

In student traineeship mobility, if the certificate of attendance shows that the beneficiary carried out the activity for less than 2 months, the activity is deemed invalid and no grant payment is made to the beneficiary.

A student whose certificate of attendance shows that the activity lasted less than 2 months must repay the entire grant received.
