Mobilities must begin after the student's exams have finished in the summer term and must end before the start of the following academic year.
Students who will take part in recent graduate traineeship mobility must apply while still actively enrolled, and if selected, the final day to complete their mobility is 31 December 2026.
* Students wishing to take part without a grant must indicate their request through the system at the time of application. Requests for grant-free participation submitted after the application by students who did not declare this during the application will not be considered.
A request for grant-free participation has no effect on receiving a grant. Priority in the assessment will be given to the distribution of grants; once the distribution has been completed, students on the reserve list who wish to take part without a grant will be assessed.

Student Traineeship Mobility with Erasmus+ Programme Countries
Grant Support by Country and Special Needs Support
Applications must be submitted via the Erasmus application portal at https://turnaportal.ua.gov.tr/ by logging in with e-Devlet and selecting the relevant announcement for which our university has issued a call.
Applications will be accepted online only. No documents will be submitted to the Erasmus Office in person. Applications of students who do not upload an electronically signed transcript obtained through the Campus Information System will be rejected.
Please note that the preparation of an electronically signed transcript may take 1-2 business days.

Documents Required for Application
- If available, documents showing that the applicant is a relative of a martyr or veteran, has a disability, is covered by a protection, care or shelter decision under Social Services Law No. 2828, is an earthquake victim, is a participant with fewer opportunities, or is a student with a disability must be uploaded to the online application system. (The originals of these documents must subsequently be presented to the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office.)
- An electronically signed transcript showing the student's cumulative grade point average, obtained from the Department of Student Affairs via the Campus Information System (KBS), must be uploaded at the time of application.
- If a language proficiency certificate is available, the relevant exam result document must be uploaded.
- Students who intend to take the Erasmus Language Proficiency Exam must indicate this in the system by selecting the option “I would like to take the University Erasmus Language Proficiency Exam”.
- Students who wish to apply with a B2 preparatory school completion grade must upload a transcript showing their B2 preparatory school completion score to the system.
- Students who have previously taken the Erasmus Language Proficiency Exam must apply with an Individual Exam Result document obtained from our Foreign Languages Coordination Office.
Points to Consider When Applying
- Please contact the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office regarding any problems that may arise during the application. (For enquiries, please send an e-mail to erasmus@izu.edu.tr.)
Students who do not wish to take the Language Exam;
- If a Language Exam Result document is available, the exam result documents must be uploaded to the system. (Assessments will be made taking into account the 5-year validity requirement for YDS and YÖKDİL certificates. The validity period of other exam proficiency certificates is 2 years. When uploading the relevant language certificates to the system, they must be uploaded so that the verification codes are visible. Candidates without a language exam certificate must select the option "I would like to take the Erasmus+ Language Proficiency Exam."
- Students who wish to apply with an İZÜ Preparatory School Completion Grade or the İZÜ Preparatory School Exemption Exam must correctly enter their "B2" level grade into the system and upload a recently dated electronically signed transcript showing their "B2" level grade. A "C1" Preparatory School Completion grade will not be accepted.

- A recently dated electronically signed transcript must be requested through the Campus Information System and uploaded to the application system as a PDF.
The grant support provided to participants selected for Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility has been limited to a maximum of 65 days so that more students can benefit from the activity. (the traineeship may last longer than 65 days, but no grant may be received for more than 65 days)
The activity period must be at least 60 days. (Applications for fewer than 60 days will not be accepted. Under the programme rules, mobility carried out for fewer than 60 days will be deemed invalid.
Documents Required for Application
- Traineeship Letter of Acceptance (a signed and sealed/stamped letter of acceptance appropriate to the student's field, recognised as complementary to their field of study, and clearly stating the mobility dates.)
- If applicants hold documents certifying that they are a relative of a martyr or veteran, have a disability, are covered by a protection, care or shelter decision under Social Services Law No. 2828, are earthquake victims, are participants with fewer opportunities, or are students with disabilities, these documents must be uploaded to the online application system. Selection Criteria
The evaluation criteria and weighted scores used in assessing mobility applications are as follows:

¹⁰ Combat veterans and their spouses and children, as well as the spouses and children of war martyrs; and, pursuant to Article 21 of the Anti-Terror Law No. 3713 of 12/4/1991, the spouses and children of "public officials who, while performing their duties at home or abroad, or even after their status has ended, as a result of performing those duties, have been subjected to acts of terrorism and been injured, disabled, died or been killed"; and, pursuant to Article 7 of Decree Law No. 667 of 23 July 2016, the spouses and children of those who lost their lives as a result of the coup attempt and terrorist act carried out on 15 July 2016 and the acts that constituted its continuation, or civilians disabled as a result thereof and their spouses and children, are given priority if they apply for Erasmus+ student mobility.

General customer service, demand generation, data entry and routine office tasks are not counted within this scope.

Travel Grant
The amount of travel support to be paid to students benefiting from the student mobility activity is determined using the "Distance Calculator" provided by the European Commission. The travel support is added to the grant amount foreseen for the relevant activity.
The distance between the two points, namely the student's place of residence and the place where the activity will be carried out, is determined in kilometres (km) using the Distance Calculator, and the travel grant is calculated on the basis of the table below.
