**For prioritisation, the student must submit a Disability Health Board report as defined in the "Regulation on Disability Assessment for Adults" published in the Official Gazette dated 20 February 2019 and numbered 30692.

***For prioritisation, the student must submit a letter from the Ministry of Family and Social Policies certifying that a protection, care or shelter decision has been issued in their favour pursuant to Law No. 2828.

*****Traineeships involving one or more of the following activities are considered within this scope: digital marketing (e.g. social media management, web analytics), digital graphic, mechanical and architectural design; application, software and code or website development; installation, maintenance and management of information systems and networks, cyber security, data analytics, data mining and visualisation; programming, robotics and artificial intelligence training. The "-10 points" deduction applied in the case of previous participation does not apply to mobilities carried out at a previous study cycle or to mobilities other than higher education student/traineeship mobility. It applies when a student who has already carried out a mobility applies again within the same study cycle.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • In the event that the total scores calculated taking all criteria into account are equal, priority is given to the student with the higher academic achievement grade; if the academic achievement grades are also equal, priority is given to the younger student.
  • Students enrolled in a double major programme may apply for mobility from only one major within the same application period.
  • Students are ranked by score within the relevant department/faculty, according to the quotas allocated to departments or faculties.

Evaluation of Applications

The student's cumulative academic grade point average at the time of application is converted to the 100-point scale and taken into evaluation.

The grade point average held by the student at the time of application is automatically transferred to the Erasmus Application form from the Campus Information System.

In order to take part in mobility, the grade point average must be at least 2.20 / 72 for undergraduate students and 2,50 / 75 for graduate students.

For the IZU Grade Conversion Table, please click here. (Equivalents of grades in the 4-point system in the 100-point system and letter grades)

Undergraduate students who do not yet have a cumulative grade point average cannot apply.

Graduate students who do not have a cumulative grade point average may apply by uploading the graduation grade of their previous level of education to the application system.

There are 2 methods for determining the foreign language level.

1- Applicants may take the Erasmus+ Language Proficiency Exam organised by the Coordinatorship of Foreign Languages.

The Erasmus+ English Language Proficiency Exam is organised by the English Preparatory Unit affiliated with the Coordinatorship of Foreign Languages.

The Erasmus+ English Proficiency exam consists of Grammar, Listening, Reading and Writing sections. (No Speaking exam is held.)

2- Students who do not wish to take the language exam;

They may apply with the B2 Preparatory Completion score for the preparatory year shown on their transcript. (Scores for C1 or other levels will not be accepted.)

or

Applicants may also apply with YDS, YÖKDİL, TOEFL-IBT-CBT-PBT and IELTS scores in order to determine their foreign language level. TOEFL and IELTS documents to be taken into evaluation are accepted with a validity period of 2 years, and YDS and YÖKDİL documents with a validity period of 5 years.

For the table converting YDS, YOKDIL, TOEFL-IBT-CBT-PBT and IELTS scores into the IZU Erasmus+ Language Proficiency Exam score, please click here.

Our University has set the foreign language threshold required to take part in traineeship mobility as at least B2 level.

After 50% of the academic achievement score and 50% of the foreign language level score are added together, an additional +15 points are awarded to the children of martyrs and veterans.

(In addition to combat veterans and their spouses and children, and the spouses and children of war martyrs, pursuant to Article 21 of the Anti-Terror Law no. 3713 dated 12/4/1991, the spouses and children of “public officials who, while performing their duties at home or abroad, or even after their status has ended, as a result of terrorist acts arising from the performance of those duties, have been wounded, disabled, killed or murdered”, as well as, pursuant to Article 7 of Decree Law no. 667 dated 23 July 2016, the spouses and children of those who lost their lives due to the coup attempt and terrorist act of 15 July 2016 and the acts that were a continuation thereof, or the civilians who were disabled and their spouses and children, are given priority if they apply for Erasmus+ student mobility.)

This prioritisation will be applied to applications for projects from 2018 onwards.

Students who upload documents proving their disability to the system are awarded +10 additional points in the evaluation.

Within the scope of Social Services Law no. 2828, students under a protection, care or shelter order are awarded an additional +10 points in the evaluation. For prioritisation, the student must upload to the application system a letter from the Ministry of Family and Social Policies stating that they are subject to a protection, care or shelter order under Law no. 2828.

A reduction of -10 points is applied for each activity to students who have previously taken part in Erasmus for study or traineeship purposes.

A reduction of -10 points is applied in the evaluation to students who wish to do a traineeship in the country of which they are a citizen and who apply with a traineeship acceptance letter from an enterprise in that country.

This will be applied to the subsequent term applications of students who were selected for Erasmus mobility under the project with contract number 2018 but did not attend the information meetings and training sessions organised by the university without providing a valid excuse.

After the applications have been evaluated by the University Erasmus+ Commission, principal and reserve candidates are determined according to the quotas specified in the application announcement.

The list of candidates selected as principal and reserve and of those not selected is published, together with the scoring carried out during the evaluation, in the announcements section of the university website, in the application announcements section of the Erasmus+ Coordinators and on the notice boards.

Participants who are selected for mobility but decide not to take part must notify the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinatorship of the situation with a letter of waiver.

In the event of a waiver, the place passes to the candidates on the reserve list.
