About the Program

It consists of ten courses (3 hours per week) and master's project work (Total 90 ECTS). The normal duration of this program is 2 semesters, the maximum duration is 3 semesters.

Program Objectives & Goals

Objectives

It is aimed to meet the need of qualified social workers who have sufficient knowledge and skills in the field of social work needed by the country, and who can communicate effectively with the people and institutions they work with, and to prepare the infrastructure for the training of academics needed by the newly opened social work programs. .
The aim of the Social Work Master's Program is to enable students to be educated more deeply in one of the fields of family, child and youth and health, to develop their research and evaluation skills to produce new information, and to reach a level that can contribute to scientific development in the field of social work.

Sosyal hizmetler alanına yönelik yapılan çalışmalarda sürekli olarak kullanılan bir araç olarak istatistik hakkında bilgi sahibidir, ilgili yazılımları etkili kullanır. Lisans düzeyi yeterliliklerine dayalı olarak sosyal hizmetler alanındaki alt uzmanlık dallarında güncel bilgilere sahiptir, bunları geliştirir ve derinleştirir. Sosyal hizmetler alanının gerektirdiği düzeyde bilgi teknolojileri, teknik ekipman ve alana özgü olan cihaz ve aletler hakkında bilgi sahibidir. Sosyal hizmetler alanında ilişkili olduğu disiplinler arasındaki etkileşimi kavrar ve kullanır. Admission Requirements

- Graduate of Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Gerontology, Anthropology.

- ALES and Foreign language score requirements are not required.

- International / foreign candidates are required to obtain TÖMER C1 certificate from Turkish Education Centers of universities, since the program language is Turkish.

- The courses of this program are given at the Halkalı campus of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.

Graduation Requirements

It consists of ten courses of thirty hours and graduate project work. (Total 90 ECTS) The normal duration of completing this program is 2 semesters and the maximum duration is 3 semesters.

Students who successfully complete their credit courses and term project and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 and above are awarded a master's degree without thesis.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Gerontology, Anthropology undergraduate and/or graduate with thesis.
