• It saves you from losing time navigating the widely differing web page interfaces of journals and academic platforms. It helps you access articles quickly. It presents the access options for the article in a pop-up that opens in the lower left corner of the screen.

It works as follows:

1. It first scans the website of the relevant journal. If it is Open Access, it retrieves the PDF from there.
2. If it is a journal to which your institution has subscription access, it provides the publisher version of the PDF.
3. If it is a journal to which your institution does not subscribe, it scans academic platforms where the article may be found. (Mendeley, ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Dimensions, the academic archive of the university with which the author is affiliated, etc.)
4. When you create a membership with your institutional e-mail address, it helps you access articles from outside the institution as well by using your institution's off-campus access infrastructure. (Whichever proxy service is in use, such as EZProxy, Shibboleth or Open Athens, must be registered with the EndNote™Click system by the institution.)
5. It allows you to cite easily in the bibliographic citation style of your choice.
6. It is compatible with the Chrome, Firefox and Opera browsers.
