Tabriz is one of the metropolitan cities of Iran and the capital of the province of East Azerbaijan. It is the largest city in the northwest (Azarbaijan) and the administrative, communication, commercial, political, scientific, industrial, cultural and military center of the region. Owing to its large factories and industries, it is regarded as the country's second industrial city after Tehran.
It is also, thanks to its culture, one of the country's most attractive cities for migrants. Iran's first printing press, city hall, post office and public cinema were established in Tabriz; for this reason it is known as the city of firsts.
Because begging has disappeared in Tabriz, it is known as a city without beggars. The World Health Organization named Tabriz the healthiest city in Iran. The city is known as the "investment region of Iran" because it attracts capital investment from the private sector; it ranked first in the country for capital investment for 5 consecutive years. Tabriz is also known as Iran's second university city after Tehran, as it is home to 9 leading state universities and several non-state universities.

Studying at UDG is a challenge. Especially for those of you who believe in yourselves and in the power of vision to build your future. UDG's mission is to create the conditions for study based on the principles of high-quality European education. Several generations of graduates who are successfully pursuing master's and doctoral studies in the West, or who are already highly successful in the companies and institutions where they found work immediately after graduating, show that this is achievable. Some opened private companies with UDG's help while still studying, and many are considering doing the same.
One of UDG's key advantages is that it fosters multidisciplinarity. Being housed in a modern building, offering ten undergraduate programmes, roughly 25 master's and 3 doctoral programmes, and hosting nearly 2,000 students naturally allows for a synergistic interaction among a wide range of professions and occupations. Many foreign teachers and administrators praise UDG's programmes because they are not mass-oriented. Indeed, the programmes are directed at the student as an individual, whose character we help shape through personal communication and group work. In addition to investing in core technical knowledge, a great deal is invested in students' skills, particularly IT skills, research skills, an entrepreneurial approach to life, and communication skills. We work so that our students graduate with a command of 2-3, and perhaps even four, foreign languages through our prestigious language school. We are probably one of the few universities that invests heavily in students' general education, literature and culture, as well as in entertainment, sports, travel and arts activities.

Minimum and Maximum Durations
The activity duration for student study mobility has been set by the European Commission as a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months. However, at our university, in order to allow more participants to benefit from Erasmus+ study mobility, the grant-funded activity period has been limited to 1 academic semester.
The activity period must be carried out without interruption.
In student study mobility, if the certificate of attendance shows that the beneficiary carried out the activity for less than 3 months, the activity is deemed invalid and no grant is paid to the beneficiary.
A student found on the certificate of attendance to have carried out the activity for less than 3 months must repay the entire grant received.
