About the Program
-It consists of seven courses (3 hours per week), graduate seminar, and thesis study (120 ECTS total). The normal duration of this program is 4 semesters; the maximum duration is 6 semesters.
- Students, who completed course phase, submit a thesis proposal with the thesis form to the Institute, before starting their theses. After their proposals approved by the Institute, they can start their theses.
- Students enrolled in thesis master programs in the Institute of Social Sciences must fulfill the following conditions before their graduation.
The student who is enrolled in a graduate program must fulfill at least one of the following conditions in order to graduate.
- Two papers presented at national or international scientific meetings,
- An article published in a peer-reviewed/ indexed journal, accepted for publication, or received a DOI number,
- Two papers presented at Social / Science symposiums organized by IZU.

Objectives
- Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, within the scope of the basic principles of graduate education, aims to develop new theories, techniques and concepts, to follow new and current studies, to contribute to the field and to develop scientific thinking skills and to improve and enrich the perspectives. In order to realize this principle, a program which includes Psychological Counseling Theories, Group and Individual Psychological Counseling Principles and Practices, Scientific Research Methods and Techniques, Individual Recognition Techniques, Personality Development is structured and it is aimed to move the adequacy of the professions in this area to the level of expertise.
- The Guidance and Psychological Counseling Graduate Education Program provides a broad and deep perspective for undergraduate students to access versatile and contemporary information on the professional subject, to learn to use the obtained information in the field, to reach the competence to conduct independent research, to follow the developments in the special areas of guidance and psychological counseling. aims to gain the capacity to comment with.

-To be a graduate of Guidance and Psychological Counseling (Scientific preparation program is applied to candidates from different disciplines.)
-Get at least 55 points from ALES (SÖZ-EA-SAY-point type)
-The courses of this program are given at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Halkalı campus.
-Scientific Preparation Program courses are given jointly with undergraduate programs (weekdays and days) at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Halkalı campus.
