The Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Faculty of Sport Sciences began teaching in the 2019-2020 academic year with the Department of Physical Education Teaching. The department aims to train qualified physical education and sports teachers with personal and professional ethics and competence, who master the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary fields of sport science and can meet the needs of the public and private sectors operating in education in our country. In addition to the curricula within the scope of the students' 4-year academic education and training activities, and besides the regular foreign language courses at our university, English, Arabic, Ottoman Turkish and Russian language courses are offered free of charge throughout the year by our own teaching staff. Through our university's common elective courses on personal, professional and subject education, integration with all faculties and students within the university, sharing of information and data, compulsory and voluntary internship programmes, Erasmus student exchange practices, national and international project incentives, and club and social activities, students are expected to gain maximum experience.
In addition, the Halkalı Main Campus of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University has multi-purpose sports areas where our students can use the Football Stadium, Sports Hall, Golf Course and Tennis Courts and do fitness, cardio, Pilates, basketball, volleyball, handball, archery and other sports.
These facilities, where our students spend their time, host many training sessions and courses. Our sports teams made up of our university's students have achieved rankings in the competitions they have entered.
