Physical Education and Sports Teaching
The Department of Sports Management of the Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Faculty of Sport Sciences aims to train versatile and qualified sports managers who can lead in the rapidly developing and globalizing sports industry. By offering its students education at international standards, our department gives them knowledge and skills suited to the dynamics of the sports sector. Our curriculum covers a wide range of current topics such as development through sport, sport and leisure economics, sports management, sponsorship and marketing strategies, sports communication, talent selection in sport, information technologies, sport psychology and strategic human resources management in sport. In this way, students become equipped to play active roles in different areas of the sports industry.
The Department of Sports Management, which will begin its education and training activities from the 2024-2025 academic year, admits students through the Special Talent Exam specified in the Higher Education Institutions Exam Guide. Students graduating from the programme will be equipped with business management and organizational skills in the sports sector and will have career opportunities in various fields such as clubs, sports federations, sports event organizations, fitness centres and sports media. In addition, thanks to the comprehensive education offered by our department, graduates will easily adapt to the rapidly changing structure of the sports industry and make a difference in the sector as professionals who can develop innovative and strategic solutions.
