The Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Faculty of Business and Management Sciences is a faculty that:
aims to graduate individuals who can grasp the rapidly changing and developing science of management in the world, global competition, and the importance of enterprise and entrepreneurship that make our world a better and more liveable place;
who can conduct and apply research on business and management knowledge and practices;
and who are equipped with knowledge and skills for the current and possible future needs of the business world and society;
in short, it is a faculty that gives all its students “the promise of a good education”.
Our Faculty has 4 departments and 8 programmes. As of the 2025-26 Academic Year, admission to the 30% English programmes of the Business Administration and Economics Departments has been discontinued, and both departments have begun teaching through two separate programmes, in Turkish and in English. The undergraduate programmes with graduates at our Faculty—the Department of Business Administration (English), the Department of Economics (English), the Department of Islamic Economics and Finance (English), the Department of Islamic Economics and Finance, the Department of International Trade and Finance (English) and the Department of International Trade and Finance—have been accredited by STAR (Association for Accreditation and Rating in Social, Human and Basic Sciences) as of 18.11.2025.*

Our Academic Staff
Our Faculty admits students to the departments of Business Administration, Economics, International Trade and Finance, and Islamic Economics and Finance. All faculty members teaching in these departments have international academic experience and have produced important scientific publications and activities in their fields. An important distinction that complements our academic staff, made up of both young and dynamic and experienced professors, is that we have a management team that brings the two together to create synergy. Rooted in tradition, our staff has a project-oriented vision for the future.
What Makes Us Different
All departments taught at our Faculty offer a wide range of elective courses according to students' interests. In addition to university electives, departmental and general electives make up about half of the 8-semester programme. The most important advantage of this for students is that they can achieve deep specialization if they take all their courses from their own department, while they can easily do a minor or double major when they take courses from departments they are interested in within or outside the faculty.
Each of our Faculty's departments has Turkish and English programmes. All students who wish to improve their foreign language can attend the English programmes, or they can enrol in Turkish programmes and take as many English courses as they wish after receiving optional preparatory education. In addition, as part of our university's goal of teaching 3 languages to every student, English, Arabic and Ottoman Turkish courses are offered free of charge to all our students.
