Entrepreneurship is the pursuit of opportunity beyond the resources one currently controls. Leadership, meanwhile, can be defined as strategic vision combined with the ability to influence and motivate others through an organisation's systems, processes and culture. It is not possible today to consider business management separately from these two increasingly important concepts. With this perspective in mind, the purpose of the Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Management, Entrepreneurship and Leadership Application and Research Center (YGLUAM), established in 2016, is to contribute to the national and international community through academic activities that combine theory and practice in the fields of management, leadership and entrepreneurship.
YGLUAM currently carries out, and plans to continue carrying out, a range of activities in its fields of work relating to management, entrepreneurship and leadership, including organising panels, conferences, symposiums and congresses, conducting training activities and academic publications, and cooperating with institutions and organisations operating at national and international level.
