Important Announcement under the Personal Data Protection Law
The Distance Education Research and Application Center (İZÜZEM) is an academic unit that plans and runs our university's distance education processes with an innovative, quality-oriented approach based on scientific foundations. The Center has comprehensive areas of responsibility, such as strengthening the digital learning ecosystem, ensuring the effective use of learning management systems, supporting content development processes and providing pedagogical guidance to teaching staff.
Activities carried out since 2024 have significantly increased İZÜZEM's contribution to digital education processes. In this direction, a Microsoft Teams Orientation Programme was organized to help students use online platforms effectively; thanks to the programme, which had wide participation, students' adaptation to distance education processes was strengthened. The Tinkercad training, held to improve the quality of educational content production, gave students 3D design skills, and the training was supported by hands-on sessions. In addition, Material Design Training was organized to pass on digital content development standards to teaching staff, and comprehensive work was carried out to improve the quality of course materials.
Moodle Training for Academics was held to help teaching staff use the learning management system more effectively; as a complementary output of the training, a Moodle Training Guide was prepared and shared with academic units. In addition, as part of student support processes, the From Disaster to Hope Supervised and Training-Supported Online Psychological Counselling Programme was implemented to develop post-disaster psychological resilience and online counselling skills. The programme offered an empowering experience, especially for students in psychological counselling.
İZÜZEM's main goal is to improve the quality of distance education practices and create an accessible and sustainable digital learning environment. By continuously developing its technological infrastructure and carrying out high-quality training activities, the Center continues to make a strategic contribution to İZÜ's digital transformation vision.
