Important Announcement Regarding the Personal Data Protection Law

27.03.2020
Dear Students

We would like to remind you that all video, audio and image recordings of live lectures delivered through distance education at our University, and shared online afterwards, constitute "personal data" of the academic staff member concerned under the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). It is therefore very important that you take care to protect personal data during the teaching process. Virtual classes and lectures must not be shared or circulated on any social media platform. Doing so would constitute a violation of our faculty members' personal data under the KVKK, and we wish to stress that such a violation carries, or may carry, very serious legal and criminal sanctions. In the event of such a violation of rights, our institution bears no legal or criminal responsibility; all responsibility rests with the person or persons concerned. This notice serves as a disclosure statement within the scope of Articles 8 and 10 of the KVKK. We have every confidence that you, our valued students, will comply fully with these legal provisions.
