*Students who wish to take part without a grant must indicate this request through the system at the time of application. Requests for participation without a grant submitted after the application by students who did not declare this during the application will not be taken into consideration.

Who Can Apply for Erasmus+ Student Study Mobility with Partner Countries?

Full-time doctoral students enrolled in the Islamic Economics and Finance programme.

How to Apply

Applications will be accepted online only. No documents will be submitted to the Erasmus Office. Applications of students who do not upload an electronically signed transcript will be rejected.

Applications must be submitted via the Erasmus application portal at https://turnaportal.ua.gov.tr/ by logging in with e-Devlet and selecting the relevant announcement for which our university has issued a call.

We would also like to point out that if you experience a problem with your application, you should send an explanation of the problem together with a screenshot to erasmus@izu.edu.tr.

Who Can Apply

Applications may be made by students of our University who are full-time, hold active student status in the Department/Programme detailed below, are not in graduating status (having a course load of at least 30 ECTS during the mobility period), and have a grade point average of 2.50 in the doctoral programme.

Students applying to the programme must have a minimum language proficiency of B2.

Points to Consider When Applying

  1. For any problems that may arise during the application, please contact the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office. (For contact, an e-mail should be sent to erasmus@izu.edu.tr.)

Students who do not wish to take the language exam;

  • If a language exam result certificate is available, the exam result documents must be uploaded to the system. (YDS and YÖKDİL certificates will be assessed subject to a validity period of 5 years. The validity period of other language proficiency certificates is 2 years. When uploading language certificates to the system, they must be uploaded in a way that shows the verification codes. Candidates without a language exam certificate must select the option "I wish to take the Erasmus+ Language Proficiency Exam".)

  1. A recently dated, electronically signed transcript must be requested via the Campus Information System and uploaded to the application system as a PDF. (Applications made with barcoded transcripts downloaded from e-Devlet or with grade reports lacking an electronic signature will be deemed invalid.)
  2. The waiver dates for students selected as principal candidates are 13-26 July 2026. Students who do not exercise their right to waive within these dates and instead waive on a different date will have -10 points deducted in the next application period. Students who wish to waive must come to the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office between 13 and 26 July 2026 and submit a written petition of waiver.

Minimum Requirements

To take part in the activity, students must first meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Graduate Education Institute - being enrolled in the Islamic Economics and Finance Doctoral Programme.
  • Being a full-time active student and not in graduating status. (Having a 30 ECTS course load / thesis obligation)
  • Having a cumulative academic grade point average of 2.50/4.00 in graduate programmes,
  • Documentation of language proficiency at B2 level;
  • If the student has already benefited from higher education mobility activities during the Erasmus+ and Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) periods within the current level of study, the total duration including the new activity must not exceed 12 months.

Selection Criteria

The evaluation criteria and weighted scores used in assessing mobility applications are as follows:

Declaring that they will sit the foreign language exam administered by the institution and then failing to attend without a valid excuse-5 points
Failure to take part in the mobility despite being selected, without submitting a withdrawal notification within the given period-10 points
Applying for two mobility types at the same time (the deduction is applied to the mobility type preferred by the student)-10 points
Failing to sit the language exam despite having declared at the time of application that they would do so-5 points

*Priority is given to combat veterans and their spouses and children, as well as the spouses and children of war martyrs; the spouses and children of "public officials who, while performing their duties at home or abroad, or even after their status has ended, have been wounded, disabled, died or been killed as a result of acts of terrorism because of the performance of those duties" pursuant to Article 21 of the Anti-Terror Law No. 3713 dated 12/4/1991; and, pursuant to Article 7 of Decree Law No. 667 dated 23 July 2016, the spouses and children of those who lost their lives as a result of the coup attempt and terrorist act carried out on 15 July 2016 and the acts that followed it, as well as civilians who were disabled and their spouses and children, when they apply for Erasmus+ student mobility.

**In order to receive priority, the student must submit the Disability Health Board report specified in the "Regulation on Disability Assessment for Adults" published in the Official Gazette No. 30692 dated 20 February 2019.

***In order to receive priority, the student must submit a letter from the Ministry of Family and Social Policies stating that a protection, care or accommodation decision has been made in respect of them under Law No. 2828.

****The "-10 points" deduction for previous participation is not applied to mobility carried out in a previous study cycle or to mobility other than higher education student/traineeship mobility. It is applied when a student who has carried out mobility under a KA171 Project applies again within the same study cycle.

Erasmus+ Mobility with Grant Option

Under the Erasmus+ Programme, selected students may receive an Erasmus+ grant to cover their living expenses during the mobility period. The Erasmus+ grant is a contribution and may not cover 100% of the expenses incurred before and during the mobility (such as visa, accommodation, flight tickets and living expenses). In such cases, the student must cover the remaining amount themselves.

Students selected for a grant will be provided with grant support for a maximum of one academic semester during the mobility period.

Erasmus+ Mobility without Grant Option

Students may exercise this right by selecting the "I can take part without a grant" option on the online form at the time of application. Whether selected with or without a grant, Erasmus+ students do not pay tuition, registration, examination or library fees to the host university. The application requirements and selection criteria for mobility without a grant are no different from those for grant-funded mobility.

Additional Grant Opportunity for Participants with Special Needs
