Course Objective
The aim of the course is to provide the participant with an international perspective on the points where people's feelings, thoughts and behaviors intersect with their beliefs. The practical aim of the course is to provide the participant with the ability to approach the individual they are in contact with by taking into account their religious, spiritual and cultural background. The subjects will be covered from various works in order for the participants to access different sources and to get to know the literature better.
Course Content
Throughout history, religion has been one of the most effective elements in the emergence of many orientations, both individual and social. As a motivational element, religion has unique mechanisms in the development of emotions, thoughts and attitudes in humans, and in the emergence of permanent and regular behaviors. At this point where religion and psychology intersect, the psychology of religion comes to the fore. Psychology of religion is a branch of science that examines the effects of believing or not believing in a certain religion on an individual from a psychological perspective. The person who attends this course gains information about the historical adventure of the relationship between psychology and religion. By knowing the approach to humans in the Islamic tradition, he makes a comparison with the approach of other traditions. Since he sees that the effects of faith on an individual differ according to their developmental periods, he takes these characteristics into consideration in his approach to the people around him. He evaluates the interaction between religion and culture from a psychological perspective. He realizes the appearances of religiosity and spirituality in different cultures.

• Those who are more than 15 minutes late to class can attend the 2nd class.
• If you exceed 30% of your absence rate, you will fail the course without taking the final exam.
