Course Objective

To make sense of the History of Civilization by examining it with its main lines and historical   process from its birth to the present. To analyse the effects of cultural, economic and political developments, especially religion, on civilization. In addition, to provide students with information of how civilizations have impacted the world history.

Course Content

Descriptions of Culture and Civilization, Arab-Turkish-Iranian Cultures in Pre-Islamic Era, Islamic Civilization, Western Civilization and the developments that took place in political, social, cultural, economic, language and literature, and art in its sub-branches. Additionally, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Magiism, and the belief of Tengrism are included in the content of the course as the fundamental components of culture and civilization.
