Course Objective
By giving information on ottoman urban development and institutions, creating an awareness about our culture and civilization and making students understand the functions of an Ottoman Turkish city.
Course Content
In this lesson, the term city and the importance of a city historian, Islamic city that effected the development of Ottoman city system, Central Asia Turkish City urban development, the position of kadi and other administrators who manages the legal and administrational tasks, town planning activities that is held by foundations from the angle of the development of a city, Tanzimat period city development and historical development of the local administrations will be explained.
