Course Objective
The aim of this course is to make students aware of sociology and health sociology. To know the theories of health sociology. To establish a relationship between health, body and political culture. To examine the concepts of health and illness within the social structure and to establish a causal relationship between society and health, and to provide health care with a sociological perspective.
Course Content
Basic concepts of sociology, sociological view, sociology and health, disease and health concepts, theories of health sociology, culture and health, social determinants of health, mcdonaldization of health, social stratification and health, social institutions and health, body, health and society.
