Course Objective
By reviewing the basic concepts and issues related to cancer and cancer nursing, treatment, and treatment for healthy and sick individuals at every stage, from individuals to cancer-treated individuals. who have the knowledge and skills to perform the care and who can use this knowledge and skill in the health team nurses are aimed to be trained.
Course Content
This course includes the mechanisms of cancer formation, cancer incidence in our country and in the world, cancer classification, risk factors and prevention, early diagnosis methods, cancer treatment methods and care, palliative care and hospice care and care.

- Explains nursing approaches related to palliative care, hospice care, and caregiver burden.
- Provides nursing care in oncology in accordance with professional values and ethical principles.
- Explains the mechanisms of cancer development, cancer classification, and epidemiology.
- Evaluates the risk factors involved in cancer development and cancer prevention strategies.
- Explains the importance of early diagnosis and screening methods in cancer.
- Explains the diagnostic methods and treatment approaches used in cancer care.
- Plans nursing care for chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and other cancer treatment modalities.
- Identifies symptoms that may arise due to oncological treatments and implements symptom management.
