Course Objective

To be able to teach the sources of words in Turkish, the formation of words and meaning in words; being able to define nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, exclamation points, verbs and their properties; to be able to comprehend their functions; making applications on examples by making classifications; to enable students to recognize gerunds, verb frame, verb conjugation, suffix-verb, compound verbs, compound verbs, auxiliary verbs.

Course Content

What is a word, words in terms of meaning and function, the use of words (original, satellite, both original and satellite), lexical words, grammatical meaningful words

Ways of deriving words in Turkish

Nouns (According to their structure, according to the way they are named for the concepts, according to the way they are given, according to their quantity and quality, according to their inflection, according to their origin, meaning change in nouns, other words used as nouns, reduction in nouns)

Pronouns and their properties, classification of pronouns, pronouns in terms of their functions (person, denotation, question, ambiguity, reflexivity, context)

Adjectives and their properties, classification of adjectives [according to their origin, structure (simple, derived, compound, reinforcement, word group)], adjectives according to their functions [qualifying adjectives, denoting adjectives (denoting, question, indefinite, number)], comparison and comparison in adjectives. grading, downsizing, reinforcing

Adverbs and their features, classification of adverbs (in terms of their origins and structures), adverbs in terms of their functions [time, place-direction, style (declaration of quality, status), scarcity-many, question, size/amount]

Preposition, conjunction, exclamation

Verbs / inflected verbs (infinitive, participle, gerund)

Verbs /inflected verbs and their properties, classification [in terms of their structure (simple, derivative, compound), in terms of content (formation, appearance, situation), in terms of meaning (main verb, auxiliary verb)] Conjugation, tense, person, negation, question

Modes of declaring, modes of designing

Compound modal verbs, rendering in principal verb (beginning, continuity, ending), appearance, enactment, becoming

Vertex of action [in terms of subject - predicate relationship (active, passive, obscure frame, reflexive, collaborative, sanctioned), in terms of object - predicate relationship (transitive and intransitive)], the state of overlapping in the suffixes
