TRC 004 - Teaching Turkish to Bilingual Turkish Children

Course Objective

To know the concept of bilingualism and the requirements of this concept and to provide Turkish education in accordance with the main language education of Turkish children living or living abroad.

Course Content

Turkish migration abroad, effects of migration, results; educational status of Turkish children abroad; Legal basis of mother language education abroad and Turkish and Turkish culture courses abroad; bilingualism, bilingualism and its types; theories, methods and techniques in teaching Turkish to two languages; Turkish and Turkish culture course curriculum; Activity and material design for Turkish and Turkish culture course.

  6. S/he applies which approaches, methods and techniques to teach Turkish to bilingual Turkish children
  7. S/he has knowledge about the cultural problems of bilingual children.
  8. S/he has knowledge about the language problems of bilingual children.
  9. S/he finds solution about the cultural problems of bilingual children.
  10. S/he finds solution about the language problems of bilingual children.
  11. S/he creates related materials to teach Turkish to bilingual Turkish children.
