Course Objective
To teach the teacher candidates who will teach the books of the different courses prepared by the primary mathematics teaching program, to recognize the textbooks they will use in the classroom and the subjects in these books; to raise the awareness of the Student Workbooks and Teacher's Guide Books, which come up with the new system, with the aim, content and effective use points.
Course Content
Physical, educational, visual design, and language expression features and standards that should be included in the textbook; the appropriateness of the contents of the textbooks to the program; content, language, student level, format, attractiveness, contribution to meaningful learning, ease of use in teaching, etc. examination of angles.
Course Learning Outcomes
- To be able to understand the relationship between textbooks and curriculum
- To see the positive and negative aspects of using textbooks
- To be able to evaluate textbooks in terms of program, language and expression, scientific content and visual arrangement.
- To be able to explain the role of teacher manual and student workbooks in the use and teaching of textbooks
- To be able to prepare a sample textbook based on field knowledge compatible with the curriculum
