The Preschool Teaching Programme of the Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Faculty of Education aims to train teachers who, in addition to professional competence, have ethical values, recognize children's individual potential and prepare them for the future in the best way. Aiming to train well-equipped, values-based educators who will support children's healthy development and respond to the needs of the age, the programme offers students, in addition to theoretical knowledge in preschool education, the opportunity to gain field experience in practice settings such as the Practice Kindergarten on our Halkalı Campus. This kindergarten serves children aged 3-6 within the framework of the Ministry of National Education Preschool Education Programme and provides children with a safe and stimulating learning environment in close contact with nature.
Our educational approach is structured with inspiration from the Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf and Project-Based education models, and the programme is supported with enriched content such as Values Education, English and physical education. Through activities such as cinema and theatre days, field trips and family involvement activities, our students have the chance to observe and apply a holistic understanding of education in the field.
