

The Guidance and Psychological Counselling Undergraduate Programme aims to train psychological counsellors who are equipped to address individuals' developmental processes from many angles and support them in making healthy decisions in the emotional, social, academic and career domains. The main goal of the programme is to train specialists who are grounded in scientific knowledge, committed to ethical principles, think critically and are sensitive to human rights. The course content has been prepared with an interdisciplinary approach at the intersection of psychology, education and the social sciences. During their undergraduate studies, students have the opportunity to enrich their academic knowledge by taking part in minor and double major programmes and taking courses from different faculties and departments.
Graduates of the programme can work as school counsellors (psychological counsellors) in public and private schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. They can also be employed by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Turkish Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, private counselling centres, special education institutions and the human resources units of companies.
