The Psychological Counselling and Guidance Unit is a unit affiliated with the Department of Health, Culture and Sports. There is a counselling office on the Halkalı campus where services are provided. The Psychological Counselling and Guidance Unit has two psychologists, one working full-time and one part-time.
The Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Psychological Counselling and Guidance Unit aims to support students' personal, social, academic and professional development, to facilitate their adjustment to university and dormitory life, and to help them acquire the skills needed to cope with various problems that may arise in this process.
Our Psychological Counselling and Guidance Unit enables our students to better understand themselves and their surroundings, discover their abilities and develop their interpersonal communication skills.
Academic and administrative staff of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University can also receive individual counselling services from the Psychological Counselling and Guidance Unit.
All services provided at the Psychological Counselling and Guidance Unit are free of charge.
The principle of confidentiality is the basis of all work carried out in the unit. However, if the life of the counselee or of those around them is in danger, the necessary persons are contacted and the student is informed about the information to be shared.
