THE CITY
The city is not very large. I am sure you will like its architecture. Overall it can be described as a student city, and although its people are a little reserved, they are helpful and will assist you as soon as you ask.

TRANSPORT
You need have no concerns about transport: you buy a three-month student pass that works out at less than one lira a day and lets you use all public transport as much as you like. There are no traffic problems in the city.

EDUCATION
They open special classes for Erasmus students; there are no exams, only presentation and assignment requirements. The Psychology Department is genuinely valued here. Laboratory facilities are also available. The courses combine theory and practice.

ACCOMMODATION - HOUSING - FOOD
You need have no concerns about accommodation either; the dormitory is not expensive. You can cook for yourself, but if you would rather not go to that trouble there is a canteen right next to the dormitory where you will be staying, although its opening hours are fairly limited. There are also restaurants near the dormitory, and you can even order kebab if you wish.
FACILITIES
As a student you are given an ISIC card, with which you can benefit from most discounts across Europe.

VISA
I have left this part until last because it is something I want you to remember. Czechia is the slowest country when it comes to visas. My advice is to request the letter of acceptance from the host institution straight away, and as soon as you receive the e-mail saying that the letter of acceptance will be sent to your address, book your visa appointment; otherwise you may be left behind.
If you have any other questions, my e-mail address is here; please do not hesitate to ask.
I wish you every success.
