The 1st Call for 2026 of the İZÜ Scientific Research Projects Support Programme is now open. The relevant details and links are provided below.

İZÜ Scientific Research Projects Support Programmes:

  • İZÜ BAP-100 Project Support Programme:
    • These are research projects created to build an R&D culture among successful students enrolled in the formal education programmes of İZÜ’s undergraduate departments and to encourage and motivate them to engage in research activities.
    • In these projects, led by faculty members, only a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 undergraduate students who meet the conditions determined and announced by the Commission may take part as researchers.
    • Applications cannot be made for 4th-year undergraduate students.
       
      • Project Duration: Maximum 5 months.
      • Maximum Project Support: ₺ 56,151
      • Scholarship Holder: None.

         
  • İZÜ BAP-200 Project Support Programme:
    • This is a programme to which a faculty member supervising a master's student at İZÜ who has completed the course period and determined a thesis topic can apply, provided that the project supports the thesis of the relevant student.
    • The supervising faculty member may apply to this programme for an additional project while an İZÜ BAP-400 or İZÜ BAP-300 project of which they are principal investigator is still ongoing.
      • Project Duration: 12 months.
      • Maximum Project Support: ₺ 168,453
      • Scholarship Holder: An İZÜ master's student who is writing the relevant thesis and meets the scholarship conditions may be a scholarship holder.
      • Researcher: The relevant thesis student may be a researcher only if they do not meet the conditions for being a scholarship holder.

         
  • İZÜ BAP-300 Project Support Programme:
    • This is a programme to which a faculty member supervising a doctoral student at İZÜ who has passed the doctoral qualifying exam and determined a doctoral thesis topic can apply as principal investigator, provided that the project supports the thesis of the relevant student.
    • The supervising faculty member may apply to this programme for an additional project while an İZÜ BAP-400 or İZÜ BAP-200 project of which they are principal investigator is still ongoing.
      • Project Duration: 12 months.
      • Maximum Project Support: ₺ 224,604
      • Scholarship Holder: An İZÜ doctoral student who is writing the relevant thesis and meets the scholarship conditions may be a scholarship holder.
      • Researcher: The relevant thesis student may be a researcher only if they do not meet the conditions for being a scholarship holder.

         
  • İZÜ BAP-400 Project Support Programme:
    • These are projects to which University faculty members can apply as principal investigators.
    • A principal investigator who is currently running an active project under the İZÜ BAP Support Programme cannot submit another İZÜ BAP-400 application at the same time.
      • Project Duration: 12 months.
      • Maximum Project Support: ₺ 280,755
      • Scholarship Holder: Graduate students who meet the scholarship conditions, study in the relevant project field and have knowledge that can contribute to the project may take part.
      • Researcher: People who have proven their expertise in the field may take part as researchers.

  • İZÜ BAP-500 Project Support Programme:
    • These are projects to which University Faculty Members holding the title of Doctor or higher who have successfully completed at least one national or international project as principal investigator can apply as principal investigators.
    • Projects supported under this programme, opened to support special projects that will contribute to developing the University's scientific research capacity and raising its research potential and its academic position in international university rankings, are expected to aim at developing value-added products, business models or technologies, taking into account our country's development plans.
    • The BAP-500 Project Support Programme is always open for applications.


IMPORTANT POINTS:

1- Project applications under all project programmes must be made by "faculty members who propose the project, are responsible for its preparation and execution, and have completed a doctorate, specialization in medicine or proficiency in art".
2- The principal investigator faculty member must complete their application via the relevant "Microsoft Forms" link after filling in the application documents listed below.

For example, to apply to the “İZÜ BAP-100 Project Support Programme”:
* Step 1: Fill in the "İZÜ BAP-100 Project Application Document".
* Step 2: Complete your application by uploading the relevant application document and the requested additional documents via the "İZÜ BAP-100 Undergraduate Student Project Support Programme Application Form".

4- Project applications will be evaluated by the İZÜ Scientific Research Projects Commission.
5- The evaluation result will be notified to the applicant concerned.
