About the Program
It consists of ten courses (3 hours per week) and master's project work (Total 90 ECTS). The normal duration of this program is 2 semesters, the maximum duration is 3 semesters.
Program Objectives & Goals
Objectives
- To train well-equipped health professionals who are able to develop the necessary policies to meet the health care needs of all healthy/sick individuals within the modern health system or to ensure the effective and efficient operation of previously developed national health policies.
- To train graduates who can closely follow the developments in national and international areas and establish their relations with health services and health policies, and develop products or services that are beneficial to the society by adapting current knowledge to their profession.
- To train professionals who can work as a manager in institutions that benefit the society by conducting scientific studies in the field of health management, who try to produce and share by contributing to scientific knowledge and literature in the field, to fulfill their social and professional responsibilities, to make projects, develop or develop projects.
- To train entrepreneurial, team spirit, analyst, and synthesizer science experts in health management who can take initiative in planning, management, delivery, and financing of health services.
- To raise health professionals who are not only dependent on academic life, but who can combine academic and practical life with high impact factor on society, or who can develop studies.
- To train health management scientists who are able to identify the problems in the health system and eliminate the deficiencies in the system through evidence-based management techniques, who provide reliable data flow to decision-makers on this issue.

Degree and Level Awarded
Graduates of the Department of Health Management are graduated as "Health Management Scientists". It is graduated at the Master without Thesis level
Admission Requirements
-To be a graduate of Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences,
-ALES score requirement is not required.
-The courses of this program are given at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Halkalı campus.
Graduation Requirements
It consists of ten courses of thirty hours and graduate project work. (Total 90 ECTS) The normal duration of completing this program is 2 semesters and the maximum duration is 3 semesters.
Students who successfully complete their credit courses and term project and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 and above are awarded a master's degree without thesis.
Recognition of Prior Learning
The courses taken from the graduate programs of another university are evaluated by the Exemption Commission of the Department, if deemed appropriate, the courses are accepted and the student is exempted from the relevant course. For exemption from courses, course contents must match and credit and ECTS accounts must match.
Employment Opportunities
Health Management Scientists have the opportunity to work as managers at the lower, middle, and upper levels in public and private health institutions. If they meet the necessary conditions in Higher Education Institutions, they have the opportunity to be employed as academic staff. They have the opportunity to be employed as assistant experts or experts in the Social Security Institution, the Ministry of Health, in institutions that produce and sell medical devices. They have the opportunity to be employed as a medical representative in pharmaceutical companies.
Access to Further Studies
Graduates of the Health Management Non-Thesis Master's program can transfer to the Health Management Master's Program with Thesis if they meet the requirements.
