Course Objective
The purpose of this course is to ensure that prospective physical education teachers learn the physical education and sports curriculum and the objectives outlined by grade level in the primary and secondary (high school) physical education and sports courses they are responsible for teaching.
In this context, the course aims to ensure that prospective physical education teachers understand the structure, content, evaluation approach, and priority issues of the physical education and sports curriculum used at different levels.
Course Content
Basic concepts related to curriculum; the development of physical education and sports curriculum from past to present; the approach, content, and skills that the current physical education and sports curriculum aims to develop; learning and sub-learning areas; the distribution and boundaries of achievements according to classes, their relationship with other courses; the methods, techniques, tools and materials used; the measurement and evaluation approach; teacher qualifications.
