Graduate Education Institute · Urban Studies and Management · Master
Course Objective
Almost all of the existing and planned residential areas in our country have various natural disaster dangers. Each separate place is at the same time a separate danger and even dangerous. It is not possible to achieve a sustainable and sustainable planning and implementation that does not take into account their existence and effectiveness. For this reason, it is inevitable to learn about natural disasters, to identify visible and probable activities, to investigate the factors that cause the risks, and to live in the framework of this information obtained from planning and applications.
Course Content
In order to achieve the aim determined by the newly enacted Urban Transformation Law (Law No. 6306 on the Transformation of Areas under Disaster Relief) in our country, it is firstly necessary that all related units are coordinated. In order to reduce the earthquake risk of the buildings, the work done up to now is mostly to determine the earthquake performances of the buildings in different details. In addition, various improvement applications are being tried to be established. Instead, a more rational approach; the central or local government should first establish solution alternatives taking into account the social, psychological, administrative, legal and financial conditions involved in the problem and then evaluate these alternatives within the scope of knowledge and capacity of earth sciences, urban planning and civil engineering.
