Course Objective

This course aims to address problems in the context of gender equality with a critical approach. Within the scope of the course, gender identity and socialization, women's social status and education/politics/working life etc. in terms of different historical/sociological/philosophical/psychological perspectives. The problems experienced by women in critical areas will be examined.

Course Content

Historical and Social Foundations of Gender Equality 5. Social Meanings of Being a Woman and a Man 6 Legal Dimension of Gender Equality 7. Gender and Education 8. Gender and Political Participation 9. Gender and Participation in the Paid Labor Market 10. Media and Gender 11. Child Marriage 12. Violence Against Women 13. Teacher sensitive to gender equality Education and Possibilities of Feminist Pedagogies
