Course Objective
Obtaining information about the Importance, Objectives and Scope of Primary Education, Learning the developmental characteristics of students at primary school level, Expressing opinions about the learning-teaching process in primary school, conducting research on learning theories, Examining teaching approaches, Examining teaching principles, methods and techniques, Equipment and technology in primary school To obtain information about the use of education, Planning teaching activities in primary school, Evaluating student success in primary school, Qualifications of the teacher working in primary school, Examining the teaching profession in terms of professional ethics, Having information about new approaches used in the learning-teaching process
Course Content
Will be able to explain the importance, aims and scope of primary school. Explains the aims of primary school. Explains the principles of primary school. Discusses the place and importance of primary school in the Turkish education system. Explains the general principles regarding the implementation of the program in primary school. Will be able to explain the characteristic features of students in primary school period. designs case studies suitable for the developmental characteristics of children. Will be able to explain the learning-teaching process at primary school level. Explains "Behavioral Theory", one of the learning theories. Explains "Cognitive Theory", one of the learning theories. Prepares a lesson plan suitable for "Teaching by Presentation", one of the teaching approaches. Prepares a lesson plan suitable for "Teaching by Invention". Prepares a lesson plan suitable for "Teaching by Research", one of the teaching approaches. Explains teaching principles. Explains teaching methods and techniques. l discusses the benefits. Will be able to use tools and materials effectively in primary school. Explains the place and importance of using tools and equipment in teaching. Defines the tools and equipment used in teaching. Identifies the factors affecting the selection of tools and materials in teaching. Interprets the necessity of using tools and materials effectively in teaching.
