Course Objective
1. To know the main sources and classics of Sufism.
2. To be aware of the concepts of Sufism.
3. To know the Sufism institutions.
4. To follow the historical development of Sufi classics in the historical course comparatively.
Course Content
Among the classics of Sufism, from the ar-Rilaye of Muhasibi, Hatemü'l-evliyâ of Hakim Tirmidhi, al-Luma of Abu Nasr Serrac, al-Taarruf of Kelabâzi, Kûtu'l-Kulûb of Mekkî, Kuşeyri To introduce Sufi thought with selected texts from Risâle of the Risala, of Cakvirî, Ihyâu ulûmu'd-dîn of Gazzâlî, Avarif'u-l-mearif of Suhreverdi, Fusûs of Ibn Arabi and Masnavi of Mawlana is its basic content.
Course Learning Outcomes
- to get knowledge about key concept of Sufismachieve some theoretical issues on Sufi classics.
- Discusses some theories in Sufi classics
- Gains familiarity with the style of the authors by reading texts from Sufi classics
- Recognizes Sufism Classics comparatively.
- Perceive the effect of Sufism classics on the effect of Sufism on corporate and social life.
