Course Objective
Basic trends, paradigms and concepts specific to scientific research (positivism, hypothesis, variable, measurement, scale, etc.); To teach students the structure and process of scientific research (determination of the research subject and problem, literature review, development of research design, data collection and analysis, reporting of research findings); Developing students' skills and critical perspectives on different aspects of scientific research through a research project.

Introduction to scientific research & Fundamentals of scientific research Scientific approaches (positivism & qualitative approach; interpretative & quantitative approach) Basic concepts in scientific research Selection of research topic and problem Critical literature review Data types and data collection tools in scientific research: Questionnaire & Observation Data types and data in scientific research collection tools: Interview & Documents Measurement and scales in research Sampling and sample types Quantitative and quantitative data analysis Preparation of research report
Course Learning Outcomes
- Knows and explains the basic movements, paradigms and concepts (positivism, hypothesis, variable, measurement, scale etc.) specific to scientific research
- knows and puts into practice the structure and process of scientific research (determining the research subject and problem, literature review, development of research design, data collection and analysis, reporting of research findings)
- develops knowledge, skills and critical perspective on different aspects of scientific research through research projects
- Defines the basic concepts related to statistics. Writes a statistical hypothesis.
- Prepares a scientific research proposal report.
