Course Objective
Providing students to acquire basic concepts and topics of marriage and family counseling and education and to gain knowledge of the theories about family counseling.
Course Content
History of Family Therapy, Individual and Family Life Cycles, Healthy and Unhealthy Families, Ethical, Legal and Professional Issues in Family Therapy, Marriage and Divorce, Stages of Family Teraphy, Psychoanalytic Family Therapy, Bowen Family Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Experiential Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Structured Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy, Solution-Focused Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Child-Centered Family Therapy.
