Course Objective
The aim of this course is to provide students with detailed information about personality disorders through detailed examination and discussion of current research on personality disorders determined according to DSM 5 diagnostic criteria. At the end of the course, it is aimed that the students recognize personality disorders, have detailed information about current approaches and research in the treatment of personality disorders, and develop new ideas and research on these issues.
Course Content
Within the scope of the course, the categorical and dimensional analysis of personality disorders within the DSM-5 framework, the aetiology of each disorder, its clinical presentation, and current empirical findings will be addressed.

- Distinguishes and defines personality disorders at a clinical level using DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
- Analyses recent research and evidence-based findings on personality disorders.
- Possesses detailed knowledge of current therapeutic approaches used in the treatment of personality disorders.
- Develops new research questions and hypotheses in the field of personality disorders based on current data.
