Course Objective
The aim of the course is to provide an introductory, basic theoretical framework for psychoanalytic psychotherapies.
Course Content
The course will examine the evolution of Freud's theory and the perspectives of some later psychoanalytic thinkers and contemporary theorists. Students will gain insight into the diagnostic formulations of psychoanalytic concepts, the psychoanalytic treatment of psychopathology, and the application of different intervention procedures.
