Course Objective

To discuss the relationships between the physical environment and users.

Course Content

In this course, spatial perception processes, sensory and perceptual dimensions of spatial experience and perceptual components of space will be examined. Definition of spatial experience and knowledge based on perception by using various means of expression, the field, importance and principles of environmental psychology, its relations with architecture and environmental perception are among the topics of the course.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Understanding the importance of the environment, establishing a relationship between the environment and architecture.
  2. By introducing the perception process; learn the elements and dimensions of the mental relationship established with space and spatial environments.
  3. To learn the concepts of space psychology. Learning to express the results of the perceptual experience of space.
