Course Objective
Examination of ecological design and ecological design criteria based on conscious use of resources. Introducing a contemporary design approach, ecological design processes and interdisciplinary design phases. Ability to conduct comprehensive research on environment and ecology, Evaluation of ecology concept in architecture through research and application, Use of ecology criteria in design process and evaluation of existing buildings with ecological critical point of view, Statistical and ecological data analysis
Course Content
Definition of ecology / Definition of ecology in architecture / Reuse and ecological applications of old buildings in line with contemporary usage criteria / Examination of ecological design principles in new designs / Examination of ecological principles in the design of intelligent buildings / Examination of domestic and foreign examples / Design of two-storey ecological residence as an example.
