Course Objective

to inform students the nature of faith and the problems with special reference to believe in a trancendental deity. Also the problems in beliving one god, the relation between god and the world, the existence of god, etc.

Course Content

The nature of religious and philosophical point of view, the arguments for and against the existence of god, religious experience, atheism, deism, panheism... and the relation between religion and ethics, science and art

Explanations

Two examinations: One visa and the final exam.

Visa 40 percent andd the final exam 60 percent.

Participation to the courses is very important. 

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Students learn what is the religion with its philosophical, rational and religios foundations
  2. Knows the basic concepts of religion philosophy.Discuss the problems that interest the philosophy of religion.He knows and can use and comment on the classical and contemporary approaches to make philosophy of religion.
  3. Students learn what was the main feature of faith especilly in theism
