Course Objective

This course aims to help students understand the basic concepts of industrial sociology and the effects of industry on society. Students will examine the effects of the industrial revolution, labor class, working conditions, workplace relations, and technological changes on social structure from the past to the present.

Course Content

The course discusses the basic concepts of industrial sociology, how industry affects social structures, dynamics of the labor market, and the role of workers' rights and trade unions. Additionally, topics such as the effects of technological changes on work life, industrial relations, and workplace conflicts will be covered. Current issues such as the impact of globalization on industry and the influence of female labor force on industrial structure will also be included in the course.
