Course Objective

This course aims to give students a basic understanding of economic theories and principles, covering both macroeconomic and microeconomic concepts. Students will gain the analytical abilities required to examine economic phenomena and comprehend how economics influences consumer behavior, market outcomes and public policy.

Course Content

This course covers a broad range of topics essential for understanding the principles and applications of economics. Beginning with an exploration of basic economic concepts such as scarcity, opportunity cost, and supply and demand, students delve into the study of both microeconomics and macroeconomics. Microeconomic topics include consumer behavior, production and costs, market structures.. Macroeconomic subjects encompass national income accounting, economic growth, inflation, unemployment, monetary and fiscal policy.
