TAR 317 - Histiory of Iran

To provide political, social, cultural and religious outlines of Iranian History from the Persian Empire to the present day and to make sense of present-day Iran. To know Iran, which has made a lot of talk about itself in the political life of the world. To allow students to learn about Iran and the historical depth that makes it, to see the reasons beneath the events. In addition, to provide students with information about Ottoman relations with Safeviler, the Pehlevis period in which modern Iran took shape and the process of the Islamic Republic.

Iranian geography, location and concepts, Ahamenish, Alexander, Selevkos and Parthians period in Iran, Sassanid period and the influence of non-Iranians, especially Arabs, Turks and Mongols, on Iran are included in the course. In addition, developments in the fields of political, social, cultural, economic, language and literature, art and similar fields related to the Safeviler period and its relations with the Ottoman Empire, the Period of The Escapes and the Pehlevis period of Modern Iran and most recently the period of the Islamic Republic are included in the course.
