Course Objective

To teach the political and cultural history of the Roman State from its emergence to its collapse.

Course Content

The political-social changes related to the Roman State, the Roman Administration, Anatolia under the Roman rule, the emergence of Christianity, the problems of the Byzantine Empire (Eastern Roman Empire), their relations with the Sassanid, Seljuk and Ottoman states will be the content of the course.
