Course Objective
The aim of this course is to examine the political, social, cultural and religious aspects of the pre-Islamic Arabian peninsula and to examine the environment in which Islam emerged, to understand the birth of Islam, the moral values of our Prophet and the struggles he made to spread Islam. To provide students with information about the Umayyad and Abbasid Era, political, social and cultural events.
Course Content
The general situation of the Arabian peninsula before Islam, The birth of Muhammad (pbuh), his prophethood, his struggles to spread Islam are included in the course content. In addition, developments in political, social, cultural, economic, language and literature, arts and similar fields related to the Four Caliphs, Umayyads, Abbasids, Andalusian Umayyads, Zangîs, Ayyubids and Mamluks are included in the course content.
